Dream Big. Set Goals. Take Action.
For years I’ve told myself, “One of these days, I’m going to get serious about coding and go back to school!”. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months and months into years. Finding the time never comes easily, but this past September, I decided to stop letting my excuses limit my ability. It was time to expand my coding knowledge and begin exploring what programs were currently available. I was particularly drawn to the full stack coding certification offered through MiT, following an advertisement I’d seen on an all-women’s cohort. I felt compelled to apply to the program. The thought of women empowering women in a predominately male dominated industry was spectacular, and I knew I needed to be a part of it.
Professional Development. Extended Education, Online.
Currently, I am working as a Senior Financial Analyst with the Stanford Center for Professional Development, also known as Stanford Online. Since joining the team in 2017, I’ve had the unique opportunity to participate in the growth and development of online learning, and also navigate the challenges and effects CoVid19 has had on students in extended education. Watching the success of countless online learners has motivated me to pursue my professional development goals, while still working full time, from the comfort of my own home.

Mompreneur. Love Hard, Work Hard.
Having the opportunity to work remotely has allowed me to spend more time at home, raising my family and being involved in my community. I am passionate about enriching my life and the lives of others, and connecting with people of diverse background and cultures. I’ve found that it can be a difficult balance to propel your career and still have time for the things that are most important to you. But I strongly believe that working at something you’re passionate about, makes it feel like you’re barely working at all. My goal would be to eventually become successful enough in the coding industry, that the majority of my time can be spent doing what I love most, giving back.
